Binging with Babish: Steak au Poivre from Archer

  • Published: 12 February 2019
  • This week, we're headed back to the Archer archives in search of a tasty dish to recreate, and I could find none better than steak au poivre - even if it was served sans 'poivre'. We won't make that mistake in the BwB kitchen, as we recreate this French classic with some modernized veggie sides.

            3:30 No.....Bad

Vegetable oil is industrial waste marketed as food. And is to date the most expensive (relative to the time period) ad campaign ever waged.

You just took $30 worth of steak and might as well dump it in the trash.

The correct frying medium here is lard. I could.....argue for half an hour as to why. Or simply tell you to try it and judge for yourself.

This ain't steak au poivre, its just filet mignon with pepper sauce, your meant to coat the steak with peppercorn before you cook it so it gets a crust.
